Ingredients Needed:
- 2 sirloin, tenderloin, rib-eye, or strip beef steaks, about 5-6oz each and 1" in thickness
- 1 tsp of freshly minced garlic
- 1 tsp of dried oregano
- 1/4 cup of fresh coconut oil or melted tallow
- 1 tsp of black pepper
- 1/2 tsp of sea salt. if desired
- Creates two servings.
Cooking Directions:
1. Heat up your broiler to high setting.2. Mix together the garlic, coconut oil or melted tallow, black pepper, oregano, and optional sea salt in a small bowl.
3. Gently place your steaks onto a broiler pan and coat both sides with the oil mixture you created.
4. Now, Broil both steaks at the top of the oven (2-3" from the source of heat) for 7-8 minutes (7 = medium rare, 8 = medium). Remove the pan from the oven and turn the steaks over. Broil the other side for 5-6 minutes more (5 = medium rare, 6 = medium).
5. After the steak has reached your desired doneness, remove them from the oven and cover it with foil. Let it rest for 5 minutes and then serve with your favorite side dish.
